Spring and Fall are the perfect time for detoxification. And if you suffer from headaches, indigestion, frequent colds, constipation, acne, bad breath, disturbed sleep, PMS or sluggishness,Herbal detox (panchakarma) could be just the thing to get you back on track.
Panchakarma, the Ayurvedic method of detoxification, may aids in reversing the negative effects of daily living and restores good health. The core regime of Panchakarma consists of adherence to a diet that’s appropriate for your psychosomatic constitution (or dosha), sweating and purgation therapies, and internal and external oleation (oil massage). These methods may gently cleanse the body’s tissues of toxins to open the subtle channels (or nadis) and bring life-enhancing energies that increases vitality, inner peace, confidence and well-being.
_ 1-2 weeks before your Panchakarma start date,you will have a consult with us to make the changes to prepare you for Panchakarma.
_ Before seven days you will do Oleation, which is a cleanse that you will do at home. (Oleation helps you enter fat metabolism, pulls toxins from deep within your tissues to your digestive system for removal, balances blood sugar, improves digestion, and opens your channels).
_ Each morning you will drink melted ghee, then follow a nonfat diet of khichadi, with steamed veggie.
_ You can do the Oleation while working and continuing your regular life.
_ On the last day of Oleation, You will do a gentle laxative to remove any toxins that have accumulated in the intestinal tract.
_ You will need as much rest as possible. This is a time you set aside to heal.
_ Try to avoid stressful activities of daily life. It is recommended that you minimize the work.
_ While during your Panchakarma program, it is advised to conserve energy. Gentle Yoga/ Nature Walks are ideal.
_ Changes in sleep patterns are common during Panchakarma. Your sleep may seem lighter than usual due to greater restful-awareness and you may sleep fewer hours.
- You may have some emotions come up, like unexplained sadness,joy, or anger.
This is a natural part of the detoxing process.

- Abhyanga… Warm herbal oil massage done by an experienced massage therapist. The oil is specially selected for the particular body constitution. The process is long and thorough. More force is used to loosen the excess doshas and direct them toward the organs of elimination.
-Shirodhara…Pouring a stream of warm oil over the forehead and followed by head massage
- Nasya … Nasal Therapy
- Swedana…Herbalized sweat therapy. Sweating leads the doshas to fluidity, making it easier for it to flow out of the system. It opens up the pores and rids the body of impurities through the sweat glands
-Basti….Medicated Enema Therapy
